Dumb Luck crowdfunding campaign a success!
Dumb Luck, a short film based on a book by a Canadian writer Lesley Choyce, is now officially completed and is going through the festival circuits. An IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign has almost reached the goal of $15,000 CAD – which we are still considering a huge success!
Among some 130 supporters of our project – all of whom are now entitled to receive their own unique frame from the film – are Lesley Choyce himself and film’s main actor Dylan Everett. Lesley has made a contribution that now entitles him to an Associate Producer in the film, and Dylan – aside from having his own title card for playing the character of “Brandon” – has now also joined the ranks of Executive Producers of the film.
This only goes to show the level of commitment to the story from everyone, and we – the filmmakers – are super pumped to continue working on development of this project. The feature film script is already here! Stay tuned for more info – sign up for 9 Light Entertainment Newsletter HERE.
Also, we have some leftovers from the campaign – limited edition T-shirts! These may become a collector’s item very soon! However if you are not into collecting memorabilia, they simply make great comfortable t-shirts!
This site now has a project page for the short film DUMB LUCK, where you can watch the trailer, see a gallery of stills, and also purchase t-shirts.
See you soon!
